Dear Community,

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Yale Undergraduate Black Pre-Law Association (BPLA). Created in part to mitigate the underrepresentation of students of color in the legal profession, the BPLA aims to successfully prepare and transition Yalies into the field through a holistic approach of scholarship, service, and mentorship. Simply put, our goal is to provide students interested in legal studies post-Yale the opportunity to explore the breadth of the legal field in an unfettered manner. The organization will provide support through a variety of programs, from our mentoring partnership with the Yale Black Law Students Association (BLSA) to monthly events and unique test prep opportunities. Attached below is an interest form for those interested in taking part in this exciting new opportunity. Please provide your name, email, and any interests that you have within the legal field to aid us in pairing you with your BLSA mentor. If you do not know your area(s) of interest, please indicate that as well. Please fill out the form by Wednesday, March 4, 2015!
