Elizabeth Alexander, “Total Life is What We Need: Self-Determination and Black Art Collectives”

Elizabeth Alexander is an award-winning poet, essayist, and scholar of African American art and culture. She is the former chair of Yale’s African American Studies Department, and is now the creative grant director at the Ford Foundation. She will be lecturing on self determination and black arts collectives.
