Based on the Life of Duma Kumalo – South Africa, 1984: A young black man is wrongfully convicted for a murder he did not commit. After four years on death row, just 15 hours before he is to be hanged, the state grants him a stay of execution. Based on testimony from human-rights activist Duma Kumalo, South African playwright Yaël Farber finds hope in this tale of injustice.
The Yale Cab invites the Afro-American Cultural Center community to attend the upcoming production of He Left Quietly, a play by Yaël Farber, this weekend. The Yale Cabaret offers $10 tickets to all students, and dinner and drinks are served before each show, performances will be taking place on Thursday at 8 pm, Friday at 8 pm & 11 pm, and Saturday at 8 pm & 11 pm.
