We would like to extend a huge congratulations to Master Johnathan Holloway of Calhoun College, PhD '95, on being named the next Dean of Yale College. Master Holloway was the Chair of the African American Studies Department in addition to being the Master of Calhoun College. He is the author of “Confronting the Veil: Abram Harris Jr., E. Franklin Frazier, and Ralph Bunche, 1919-1941” (2002) and “Jim Crow Wisdom: Memory and Identity in Black America Since 1940” (2013); he is also the editor of a new version of W.E.B. Du Bois’ “The Souls of Black Folk,” which will be published by Yale University Press next year. Congratulations again Master Holloway and we are looking forward to the impact you will make as Dean of Yale College!
