THE 55TH ANNIVERSARY

MARCH 28 - 30, 2025

The Afro American Cultural Center at Yale University (“The House”) will celebrate the 55th anniversary of its founding on March 28- 30, 2025. Under the theme A House Built to Last: Celebrating Our Past While Planning for a Sustainable Future, the events of the weekend will provide opportunities to reflect on the impact of The House and its members, while planning for the future of The House so the legacy of excellence and leadership can be sustained.

The House will sponsor various anniversary-related events throughout the 2024-25 academic year, both on campus and off, culminating in the AFAM55 conference and gala during the last weekend of March 2025. These events are being planned by the 55th Anniversary Planning Committee with support from the Office of the Secretary and Vice President of University Life and the Yale Black Alumni Association.
