Event description:

A conversation and workshop on coalition building with QTPOC community organizers, Meejin Richart and Nico Fonseca

Join us as New York-based activists Meejin Richart and Nico Fonseca not only share their personal experiences organizing across communities, but also facilitate an interactive workshop on coalition building. Meejin is a queer Korean adoptee whose areas of expertise include police brutality and U.S. militarism. Nico, a Queer, Trans and gender variant Afro Boricua, is a TransJustice Program Co-Coordinator at the Audre Lorde Project. Learn more about Meejin’s and Nico’s amazing work by clicking the “Discussion” tab of this Facebook event!
All are welcome to attend, as we aim to create multi-racial, multi-issue coalitions for the future. If you decide to share this space with us, please acknowledge that we will be centering the voices and experiences of queer and trans people of color (QTPOC). We look forward to building power with you.
